| Why am I not able to log in? |
| Once you have signed up, we send a mail to the email id you entered with a confirmation link. You have to click on the confirmation link to activate your account. Without activation, you will not be able to log in. In case of login difficulties even after confirming the account, please send a mail to support@jantakhoj.com with your registered email id or fill in the support request on Contact Us page. |
| Can you help me with finding out about my provident fund details? |
| JantaKhoj has no relationship with any provident fund office or officers. We are not able to provide any assistance in this regard and will ignore all queries on this topic. |
| How is a People Search or Neighbour Search conducted? |
| All our search products access our comprehensive databases built from a diverse variety of public sources. Once you enter the search criteria, our search engine queries these databases in search of the person or address you are seeking. The more accurate the search criteria you provide, the higher the likelihood of finding the individual. We then provide instant matching results. |
| What are public records? |
Our network of databases contains information from the following two categories:

| Why has JantaKhoj put up my record and contact details online? |
| JantaKhoj aggregates information from various public sources. In this regard, it acts just like a web search engine. Just like web search engines gather information from all over the web, index it and prepare it for easy searching, JantaKhoj gathers public records, which are already in the public domain, and makes them easy to search. If JantaKhoj is showing an entry for you, it means that the record already exists in at least one public source. |
| Will someone know if I do a search on them? |
| No. Our searches are completely confidential and the person being searched for will not know that a search has been performed or who has performed it. |
| What information do I need to run a search? |
| You can run a search with as little information as a person's first name. However, the more information you provide, the greater the likelihood that we find the person you are seeking. Complete name, complete last known address, and state, are all very useful and will increase your chances of success. In case of partial entry of name or address, the search engine will attempt to provide all the close matches, if not the exact ones. |
| Are your services completely confidential? |
| Yes, we do not sell, trade, or otherwise, transfer the personal information that visitors provide during the registration and order process anywhere outside the company. |
| Is the information up to date for all the People Search records? |
| JantaKhoj puts in the best efforts to keep the information updated, but in certain cases, the underlying record coming from a public source, may not have the most recent information. In such cases, JantaKhoj is not liable for any discrepancy between the current and displayed information. |
| I want to remove my listing from JantaKhoj People Search. How do I do that? |
| JantaKhoj respects your decision to remove your entry from our People Search. Please read the Privacy Policy for exact details on how to do this. |
| Does JantaKhoj share its database with others or participate in spam E-mail programs? |
| No, JantaKhoj does not share its database with third parties and does not participate in spam E-mail programs. Hence, unless there is a specific acceptance from any customer, we will not share our database with any third party. The only E-mail you are likely to receive is the welcome letter. Only important E-mails will be sent to you. |
| What if I want to add or change a listing? (or) The information reported in your reports is wrong. Can I update it? |
| In the search results page, you can see the message: “Unable to find your record. Click here to add your record.” Alternatively, you can directly go to Create a Record form and submit your details for inclusion. We do not encourage changing the existing listing as they are coming from public sources. Still, if you are keen on changing a listing, you can send a mail to info@jantakhoj.com with the required changes. We reserve the right to update the details. |
| Can I search people from other countries? |
| Sorry, the People Search currently covers India only. You can definitely enter the name of any person residing outside India and you will be able to see the related social media and web results, but the uppermost section with ‘Search Results’ covering contact details, age, gender, address, telephone, family members and neighbours, may not present meaningful details. |
| What if I forgot my password? |
| You can visit the Sign In page and click on ‘Get your password here’ (Password reset feature) to receive a new password in the original email id which you signed up with. |
| How can I pay for the subscription? |
| We use the services of CCAvenue, India’s largest electronic payment gateway provider, and this allows you to make online payments through a wide variety of methods – international or domestic credit cards, debit cards, cash cards, and netbanking. |
| Is anyone notified I am searching for them? |
| JantaKhoj does not notify anyone about the searches that you do online. These are completely confidential. However, in the case of any investigation by law enforcement authorities, JantaKhoj will comply with their requirements and share the required information. |
| Do you have any sample reports? |
| A brief sample of the People Search records is shown in the People Search Subscription page. |
| How the records are kept up to date? |
| JantaKhoj runs periodic updates to bring in fresh and updated data. In addition, JantaKhoj keeps on adding newer sources of data. |
| I'm not happy with my search results. Can I get a refund? |
| It is the responsibility of the users to do quick initial searches to see if any meaningful search results are coming up. Based on this, if they have subscribed to any of the search packages, JantaKhoj does not provide any refund. |

| Does JantaKhoj store my debit/credit card/bank account/net banking information? |
| No. JantaKhoj does not store any information related to your debit/credit card/bank account/net banking account. We use a third party payment gateway (CCAvenue) for all the payment transactions. CCAvenue is the largest provider of ecommerce transactions in India and is trusted by thousands of businesses and millions of online buyers. | How do I print the full report? |
| To print the full report, try using the Landscape format, print to size button in your print preferences, resize the report, or you can always copy and paste the data into Excel. Using Landscape, the full report will fit into one page. |
| Is anyone notified I am searching for them? |
| No one is notified that you are using the services of JantaKhoj, including the person you are searching for. |
| How does JantaKhoj verify credentials? |
| As an accredited and leading provider of background checking services, JantaKhoj has developed a sophisticated system of database connections and real world verification processes to derive both qualitative and quantitative verification conclusions based on the information with which we are provided. Our extended network covers the entire country and provides high quality, reliable and timely verifications. |
| What sort of credentials and information can JantaKhoj verify? |
| JantaKhoj can currently verify a wide range of information including: references, employment/work experience, education, licenses and certifications, legal employment eligibility status, addresses, criminal status (local, state, national) and civil judgments. |

| Why should I use JantaKhoj to conduct background screening when my recruiter already does reference checking as part of the service? |

There are a number of reasons why enlisting JantaKhoj to screen your candidates
is recommended. Firstly, recruitment agencies have a vested interest in the reference check being a positive one. They get paid when the candidate joins the company, so as ethical as a company may be, there is always the temptation to put a positive spin on things to make the placement, hence the conflict of interests. Secondly, the reference check done by recruitment firms is not nearly as comprehensive and thorough as those done by JantaKhoj. The average reference entails calling up the list of people given by the candidate as referee. This person in reality could be anyone, and may never have managed the candidate or even been employed at the same company. JantaKhoj is careful to investigate exactly who the referee is, usually through the Human Resources department. Thirdly, JantaKhoj goes far beyond standard reference checking. We have special authority to investigate things such as criminal history and authenticity of academic qualifications and are able to eliminate the likelihood of company fraud and falsified degrees. |
| Why use a third party and not do it ourselves? |
| The time involved in conducting such a thorough investigation is extensive. With our existing network of professional partnerships, JantaKhoj is in a unique position to quickly access confidential information on your behalf. Further, without the special authority that we have, many of our checks are beyond the reach of most companies. |
| Is screening required for all employees? |
| It depends. You have the option of screening all employees or only those at high- risk positions. It is recommended that employees having access to sensitive business information must have their credentials authenticated. |
| What are the legalities of a screening program? |
| JantaKhoj is not a detective agency. Hence, we start screening a candidate only after he/she signs a form authorizing the process. |
| How much will it cost us? |

| Your account can be setup to pay by credit card each time you order a search, or we offer a monthly or bi-monthly invoicing option. With our online payment option, you will always be able to view your invoice and pay it online any time. |

| JantaKhoj is a for profit organization headquartered in the city of Hyderabad. We offer employment screening services for companies nationwide at a reasonable cost. We also provide our services to individuals for the same price. Our services are "Hassle Free" but are in no way "Free". |
| Do you take cases from all over India? |
| Yes, we do take cases from all over India. |
| How does employment screening reduce negligent hiring lawsuits? |
| By screening your perspective employees, you can not only decide if the applicant is suitable for the position in question, but also whether or not they will be reliable and productive additions to your workforce. |
| What screening practices do you follow? |

| How long does it take? |
| JantaKhoj conducts the full assessment within 10-15 business days and a report back to you with the findings. The exact Turn-Around-Time will depend on the various background checks that you have chosen. |
| What if the candidate does not agree to undergo the checks? |
| JantaKhoj is always happy to talk directly with the candidate and address any concerns they may have about the process, and try and determine if there are other issues that may be prevalent. |
| What is your Refund Policy? |
| All background check services ordered are final and no refunds will be given. You pay for our background verification service, not the results. We will not grant a refund after a background verification has been conducted, except in the following instances ONLY: (1) In the event you were charged more than once for a single order. All such claims require submission of valid proof of purchase reflecting the charges. Refunds granted may take up to three weeks to show a credit on your statement. (2) In the event you did not receive your verification report. |
Business Contact / Company Search (LeadKhoj) Services |
| How do I search for a specific company? |
| You can enter the part or full name of the company in the Company Search to search for it. The search results will bring the names of all companies that have full or part match with what you enter for searching. |
| How do I search for groups of companies say, across industries or locations? |
| In the Company Search page, you can select more than one industry by pressing Control (Ctrl) key. You can also select more than one state by pressing Control (Ctrl) key. A combination of industry and state can be applied to bring up the companies that you are searching for. |
| How do I see the Business Contact details? |
| You can either purchase the contact details or apply your reward points. Purchase can be online through our payment gateway provider CCAvenue, which accepts a large range of debit cards, credit cards, cash cards and net banking accounts. Reward points are earned by uploading business contacts and credited on successful verification or completion of buffer period (3 weeks). |
| How do I gain reward points? |
| You can gain reward points by uploading new business contacts or by correcting existing business contacts. Once this has been done, the reward points are credited only after the successful verification of the information that you uploaded or automatically, after completion of the buffer period (3 weeks). If during the buffer period, another user raises a complaint against the accuracy of the uploaded information, and the complaint is found valid, you can be subject to penalty points. If not such complaint is raised, the reward points will accrue automatically after the buffer period. |
| What are the criteria for awarding reward points? |

| Why have my reward points not been credited? |
| Once you upload / correct a business contact, we have to ensure that the entered details are correct. We do this through our internal verification process and also by letting other users of LeadKhoj validate the information. If no inaccuracies are found, the earned reward points are credited after a buffer period (3 weeks). |
| My business contact details appear in LeadKhoj. I want to have these removed from the search results. |
| You can do so by first owning this profile either by sending over a mail from the email id that appears in the record or by calling from the phone number shown in the record. Thereafter, you can request the removal from the listings. |
| I have procured business contact records. Will I get access to future updates on these records? |
| You will have access to the current information for up to three months from the purchase date. |
